Quebec audiences will be the first in North America to discover The Little Prince on February 12, more than a month before its release in the United States and the rest of Canada.
It is very rare for this type of film to open in Quebec before it hits the U.S. market, but the film has a very strong connection to the Canadian province.
“Saint-Exupéry’s book is known all over the world, but it had more resonance in the French-speaking world, especially in Quebec. We thought it made sense to offer it to Quebec audiences first,” explains Patrick Roy, president of Seville Films (which distributes The Little Prince in Quebec).
