The first installment of the collaboration between Mikros Animation, Alexandre Astier, and Louis Clichy was a success, paving the way for new challenges. The studio continued its partnership with M6 on the second feature film, “Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion,” showcasing a remarkable transition within the company. The emphasis on diversity and inclusion was also evident with the significant integration of talented women into key roles.
Mikros Animation, with branches in Montreal, Paris, and London, adopted a unique approach by tailoring the visual style to each project and director. The artistic challenge for Asterix was considerable, featuring a script rich in travels and settings, a high number of shots, and the adoption of a new format. Marion Bayard, as the line producer, and Stéphanie Aubriot, as the CG supervisor, played a crucial role in bringing these two films to life. Mikros Animation not only provided technical expertise but also contributed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
