Our Mikros Animation Bangalore studio is going under the Mikroscope! We asked our creative talent 8 questions so you that you can get to know them, their experience in VFX, and their successes. At the end, they in turn pass the baton to one of their colleagues to go under the Mikroscope.
Today we spotlight Surbhi Jauhari, Senior Animation Artist at Mikros Animation, who talks about their first project since joining Mikros, biggest inspirations, superpowers, and gives us an insight into their role at Mikros Animation.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is the freedom to express myself creatively, it allows me to explore every aspect of animation, from acting to final animation.
What was the first project you worked on when you joined Mikros Animation?
When I joined the company, my first project was Ozi, Voice of the Forest.
Share your student and professional background to get to your position at Mikros Animation!
I completed my diploma in Animation from MAAC Panchkula, after which I began working in various studios. Throughout my 10-year animation career, I have gained experience in e-learning projects, TV series, and feature films.
When I was presented with the opportunity to join Mikros Animation for feature projects I grabbed it with both hands.
Who or what inspires you?
My family inspires me to be dedicated, committed, and faithful to my goals.
If you had to be a character in Mikros Animation’s films and series, who would you be?
I would choose to be Honkus from Ozi, Voice of the Forest. Her cheerful and optimistic personality resonates with me a lot.
Your biggest achievement so far?
I have received multiple Star Performer Awards in recognition of my work, this has been a big achievement for me.
What would be your superpower?
I wish I had a superpower to travel anywhere, anytime, without experiencing the dreaded “LOP” (Loss of Pay) – my bank account would thank me!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
If I could give advice to my younger self, I’d say: “Make decisions with wisdom. And most importantly, find your mental peace like a hidden treasure.
