Meet Michael Earnest

During his 23 years of experience in the animation industry, Michael has put his passion to the service of the most ambitious animated TV shows for the largest international studios.

Passionate since his childhood by art, drawing and the craft of animation, he started his career as a key animator and layout supervisor at Millitoon Animation in 1999. He had the opportunity to work on classical cartoon shows such as Talis and the Thousand Tasks, Pigeon Boy, Lazy Lucy, 64 Zoo Lane.

After spending two years in creative direction roles, which allowed him to work on projects involving 2D, 3D, Flash animation, and illustrations, he came back to DQ Entertainment where he gained 14+ years of experience in animation supervision and direction. During these years, he worked on world-renowned shows such as The Gnoufs, The Adventures of Donkey Ollie, Tak and The Power of Juju, The Penguins of Madagascar, Fanboy & Chum Chum, The Hive, Casper, The Jungle Book, The Psammy Show and various teasers and pilots.

In 2018, he joined Technicolor as Department Director of the Animation Department and in 2021, as Technicolor regrouped all its animation operations under the Mikros Animation brand, he was appointed Head of Creative Operations for the episodic animation content. Since his arrival, Michael has played a critical role in a highly stylized projects for DreamWorks Animation such as Fast & Furious: Spy Racers streaming on Netflix and for Nickelodeon such as the lately released Star Trek: Prodigy streaming on Paramount +.
